In this tutorial we will box-model a detailed daisy flower.
First we will create the stalk so, in the Top View start with a Cylinder with Radius: 10; Height: 600; Height Segments: 6; Cap segments: 1; Sides: 18.
Right-click on the cylinder and convert it to an Editable Poly. In the Selection rollout select Polygon (shortcut: "4") and then select the top cap polygon. Pick the Bevel tool.
