Do you have a website that needs an erie or ghostly theme text. In this Photoshop tutorial, we will learn how to create a text effect that is ghostly in appearance.



Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Open a New Document in photoshop. Set height/width to 500 width and 300 height.
2. Fill the background layer with black.
3. Choose white as your foreground color. Select the Type tool. Type some text onto the canvas.
4. Right click the text from the Layers Palette. Choose "Rasterize Layer".
5. Goto Filter > Stylize > Wind. Choose "Wind" and "From the Right". Click OK.
6. Click Ctrl+F.
7. Goto Filter > Stylize > Wind. Choose "Wind" and "From the Left". Click OK.
8. Click Ctrl+F.
9. Goto Image > Rotate Canvas > 90 CW.
10. Goto Filter > Stylize > Wind. Choose "Wind" and "From the Right". Click OK.
11. Click Ctrl+F.

12. Goto Filter > Stylize > Wind. Choose "Wind" and "From the Left". Click OK.
13. Click Ctrl+F.
14. Goto Image > Rotate Canvas > 90 CCW.
15. Goto Filter > Distort > Ripple. Set the size dropdown to "Middle". Set the Amount slider to 75%. Click OK.
16. Goto Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast. Move the Brightness slider to the left so that it is at about -50. Click OK.
17. Goto Image > Adjustments > Color Balance. Move all the color sliders to "Green" under the Shadow/Midtone/Highlight sections.
18. You should now have your ghostly green text.
