    OMG I've been stuck on this forever. I'm just a noob but please answer my question. How do you do like the second step in the turtorial, the step when you hold ALT and drag the blue circle to create another one at the bottom. On my photoshop ( I have CS3) it always creates it in a new layer, how do I keep it one layer so that I can still use the shape selecter later?

    just copy the circle from the new layer
    and paste it where you want and then delete the new layer
